Learn to Drive with Driving Ms. Amy, LLC

Amy Stewart is a Hernando native with 28 years of experience as an educator, innovator, and advocate for student success. She began her teaching career with Desoto County Schools, where she served from 1998–2005, before joining Northwest Mississippi Community College as a full-time Business faculty member in August 2005. In 2019, Amy expanded her teaching impact by joining The University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Leadership as a part-time faculty member after earning her Ph.D.

Throughout her career, Amy has been recognized for her commitment to educational excellence and innovation. Her professional accomplishments include earning National Board Certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, achieving ACUE Certification, becoming one of the first instructors to teach online through the Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC), and becoming the first high school classroom teacher in Mississippi to offer computer certification opportunities to students.

Beyond the classroom, Amy is passionate about serving others. She is an active member of Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando, Mississippi, and is the founder of Sarah’s Sisters, an infertility support ministry dedicated to encouraging and supporting women and families through their journeys.

Amy lives in Hernando with her husband and son. She believes teaching is about identifying needs and using her talents and gifts to make a difference. While Driver Education is a new venture, teaching is not—Amy brings nearly three decades of experience, creativity, and a passion for helping students and families succeed.

Her love for innovative education and commitment to serving her community continue to guide her mission: providing meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for life’s next steps.

We understand that our students have busy lives, which is why we offer flexible scheduling options that will fit your schedule.

Currently we are working on meeting the new state law requirements for a new driver's license.  Our bundle includes the 30 hours of classroom instruction (conducted in an online format) and six hours hands-on-the-wheel training. With time we plan to expand the offerings of our services to include other options for families.

The course content consists of interactive modules with flashcards, YouTube testimonials, discussions, and quizzes (consisting of multiple choice, true/false, and matching).

Driving Ms. Amy, LLC will provide the vehicle for driving instruction. The vehicle will have student driver signage, cameras on the front and back of the vehicle, and a camera inside the vehicle. This is to protect the student and teacher.
